Pick a US city and a trade to see how many local businesses there have no website. Each result is a licensed business with a working phone number and no domain we could find. The count is free and unlimited. One full record is unlocked per search, and the rest need a free account.

How do you know a business has no website?

Three tests, and a record has to fail all of them. It appears in a public licence register or mapping source, so we know it is a real trading business. It has a phone number or an email address, so it can be contacted. And no domain survives our matcher, which checks the obvious candidates, resolves them, and rejects any that turn out to belong to a franchise, a directory or a business with a similar name. Guessing a domain from the business name alone is how most lists get this wrong.

Which trades have the most businesses without a website?

General contractors are the largest group in our index by a wide margin, followed by towing companies, electricians, moving companies and childcare providers. The pattern is consistent: trades that get their work through referrals, repeat customers and phone calls are the least likely to have built a site, because one never became urgent.

We hold a directory of US businesses built from public licence registers and mapping data, then verify each one: we look for a domain, check whether it resolves, and confirm the business is reachable by phone or email. A business is counted as having no website only when it is licensed and reachable and no domain survives that check. Guessing from a business name alone is how most tools get this wrong.
